In the Beginning........

 

Mykal D.F.O'Reilly was born on October 8, 1968. His father left his home when Mykal was only 2 weeks old, saying he wasn't ready to be a father. So, Mykal grew a close relationship with his grandfather, Ernest D. Oreilly. Ernest was a former prowrestler in Ireland and held many Titles and Championships across Europe. As Mykal got older, his grandfather introduced him to his close friends, Jay O'Shay and Bryan O'Shay, owners of O'shays Wrestling and Boxing Pit. Mykal soon took to the proffesion not only in the ring, but outside of it as well. Studying and researching its vast history in not only Ireland, but overseas in the US as well. Mykal would win many amateur and Junior Titles all across Ireland, but it was when he turned 15 that things took a tougher turn for the "natural".

 

Training and the "Fists of the Fathers"

 

When Mykal turned 15, his Grandfather and the O'Shays decided it was time for his true training to begin. Not only was the O'Shays trainers in wrestling, but they were also board members of an Irish underground bareknuckle boxing organization called "Fists of the Fathers". It was here that Mykal would become a man. It was also here that he would come into his own, and be given a nickname that would become a thing of legend in Ireland. Winning his first 11 fights, against boxers or "dogs" as they were labeled, Mykal was getting a name for himself. He was put into a fight with the then "FOTF" champion. 22 year old Niles Mason. After just 2 minutes, Mykal knocked the champ out, after the bout, Mykals grandfather told him, "Now.....now you are the true RINGKING."

 

Debut

 

In May of 1984 Mykal signed his first wrestling contract with the IPWF (Ireland Pride Wrestling Federation). But do to his age, his identity had to be hidden. So, he was given a mask and called the "Dublin Destroyer". His grandfather was his manager for nearly 6 months. During this initial run, Mykal would win the IPWF Jr Circuit Title and the Transcontinental Title twice. The IPWF folded in December of that year, and quick as Mykals star was rising, it fell out of the sky, and out of his control. Mykal new, due to his age, that it would be hard to sign anywhere else. Thats when Mykals grandfather called an old friend......fellow Irishmen and promoter, Vincent McMahon Sr.

 

WWF: New Territory

 

In mid 1985, Mykal signed a contract with the WWF (WWE). He was a lost puppy of sorts, but was taken under the guidance of WWF legend Gorilla Monsoon and continued to perfect his craft. Staying away from the impurities of the sport, under the name "Irelands Finest" Limey Finlay, Mykal in just 4 months with the company and only 17 years old, would capture the Intercontinental Title and hold on to it for 5 months before dumping it to Ricky Steamboat at a house show, which to this day isn't recognized by the WWE.  In early 1986, the now CEO of the WWF, Vincent Kennedy McMahon Jr. wanted Mykal to take on another gimmick, the "Ultimate Irishmen". But, Mykal declined and in a backstage dispute was released from the company.....little did Vince know, but Mykal already had something else in the works.

 

NWA: the Birth of RINGKING

 

In February of 1986, at just 18 years young, Mykal signed a contract with the NWA. He debut as an old gimmick, "The dublin Destroyer" but was injured in a motorcycle accident due to weather conditions, and was put on the shelf for 8 months. It was during his rehabilitation that Mykal would garner the motivation to become what his Grandfather had dubbed him in Ireland......RINGKING. Mykal made his in ring debut as "The Irish Hammer" RINGKING against Tully Blanchard for the NWA TV Title, and to this day it is one of the most talked about upsets in the lore of wrestling, and captured the TV Title. During his stint in the NWA, there wasn't a single title Mykal wouldn't win, but controversy soon over shadowed all of his success. In February of 1991 at just 23 years old, Mykal would win his first NWA World Title, but it was his last Title run that he will forever be remembered for.

 

The Reaper Cometh

 

After winning his 4th NWA World Title in March of 1998, Mykal, now more known as RINGKING was approached by high ranking members of the NWA (WCW) and propositioned to take care of a "problem." Since he was the World Champ, they knew that he was the best one for the job, plus he was still young and naive. They offered him over $100 Thousand to take a young up and comer out of the profession, for good. Apparently he was stirring trouble in the back and trying to take advantage of his father being one of the wealthiest men in America and trying to buy his way to the top.....in Mykals spot. At the time, Mykal was in a bind financially. He didn't bargain like other top names, he was just happy to be wrestling. Mykal accepted the offer and took the kid out. This ate at Mykal for weeks to come. He left the NWA (WCW) for over a month. During this time he got wind that something wasn't right about what went down. To find out the truth, Mykal knew that he had to reach down to the darkest depths of his soul to find out the truth. right before his return, Mykals best friend and the only father he ever had, his grandfather,  passed away. Mykal became enraged, and so the darkness he was looking for emerged, in the form of the "Celtic Reaper" NATUREKING. He came back to the now fully fledged WCW still the World Champion, and began going through everyone he could.......there was nothing fake about it. He went Rogue, and was nearly injuring everyone in his path. He finally found out the truth about the kid he injured. The kid was actually bartering for Insurance and pay raises for the wrestlers. The owners didn't like it. so, they knew Mykal was in a bind and took advantage of it. Later down the road, Mykal would find out another wrestler was behind all of it, Sabu Moonsault.  In May of 1999 Mykal was released from WCW.

 

 Japan and "The Attack"

 

 Mykal signed a contract with Japan in 2004 after taking several years off from the ring. He wrestled under the name of RINGKING and became a fan favorite. He got along fine with the company for a couple of years, then, in late 2007, that all changed. Mykal won the Triple Crown in November of 2007 and was a well celebrated champion, but as Champion, Mykal would soon find out about the darkside of Japanes Puroresu....gambling. The Japanese bet money on matches with very wealthy unnamed Amercian "investors" but would fix the matches so they would make big off the bets. Mykal was offered a good amount of money to drop the strap to another wrestler. Mykal decided he wasn't that guy anymore, and his honor and family name meant more to him. And wanting to set a good example for his kids, Mykal declined. But, the "investors" wouldn't find that out until Mykal decimated the man he was supposed to lay down for. The match however was stopped and Mykal was stripped of his Title by the Commisioner of Puroresu Athletics. His Triple Crown reign is unrecognized to this day. Unhappy with Mykals disloyalty, the Japanese wanted something done. Mykal made the mistake of telling them he was returning to the States to wrestle. Little did Mykal know, but not only did the Japanese have a grudge against him, but someone in the US didn't want him to return to wrestle. The Yakuza was hired, and they attacked Mykal at a bar the night before he was to leave. They broke his back in 3 places. The Japanese and the "American" mystery man thought Mykal to be finished. Little did they know, Mykal wasn't a quitter.

 

3CW: The 2nd chance

 

Mykal was prepared to walk away forever, when one day his phone rang. It was Lizard King, the owner of 3CW. He offered Mykal a short term deal in 3CW to help out backstage and maybe an on air appearance occasionally. Mykal said if he wasn't able to wrestle again, he wanted no part of it. But then, two other 3CW members would inadvertantly change all of that. Mykal began speaking with a brash standout in 3CW and and apparent fan, Final Verdict. Somehow, FV convinced Mykal that he at least owed the fans a decent farewell. So, Mykal called Lizard King and he agreed to allow Mykal to give his retirement speech in 3CW. Little did Mykal know, but another wrestler had something else in mind. During Mykal speech, he had a change of heart about never wrestling again, and all it took was one Title shot to the head to change his mind. After being attacked by his old nemesis Darko, Mykal began his intense rehabilitation, along side FV helping him, Mykal made his historic comeback to the ring and defeated Darko for the US Title in what will go down as one of the most gruesome feuds in 3CW history. But, it was also during this feud that Mykals darker half returned, the Celtic Reaper NATUREKING.

 

The Future

 

Now, after several years, Mykals dark past has returned. As of recent, Mykal has found out the man responsible for his near career and life threatning attack in Japan resides right here in 3CW. Mykal has a new fire burning deep inside. Until he restores respect back into 3CW, he will not quit. Until the Reaper finds out who the man is responsible for his attack he will not stop. It is uncertain the path NATUREKING is going to follow, but one thing is certain, until he exacts his revenge on the demon that haunts him, NATUREKING will remain a fixture in 3CW.
